Another of the girls-in-white-limbo, this time for Valentine’s day. We continued with the oversized jewelry theme from before, only now there’s cupid and a bow and arrow as well. ‘Tis the season to buy big diamonds, apparently. Another Teshler Inc. spot for Samuels Diamonds, featuring our lovely ladies in short black dresses, this time in winter white with oversized ornaments. In addition to directing this spot on a big white cyc at the 501 Stage, I cut and composited the spot, including way too much roto of jewelry and diamonds for the tree.
Here was a pitch for a plasma graphic or an ad campaign that never quite got past the “powers that be.” Personally, I thought Yuri’s photography for the spot was beautiful, and the concept, while provocative, exactly the right way to go for men’s jewelry. Of course more conservative views won the day and steered the final product in a more guys-and-cars direction, rather than guys-and-girls direction. Ah well. I...
This campaign was born out of an over-the-shoulder still photo shoot of two beautiful girls in black dresses, lost in white limbo. From there, a “fashion-driven” campaign emerged, with playful touches — oversized jewelry, interactive type and graphics, and more tiny dresses in various seasonal colors. Shot in HD. This campaign won third place in the JAWA Awards 2008.
