This video was praised for its “crisp” and “compelling” messaging. Directing an informal-looking video with a subject like Mike Basore is both a pleasure and a challenge. A pleasure because he is so comfortable as a subject — doing what he does best. Challenging because this type of aggressive video generally pushes at the boundaries for corporate conservatism, and often stresses out Brand.
So it’s particularly rewarding when you get nice praise afterward from on high for those efforts.
(We kinda like to stress Brand, particularly when doing it for the right reasons.)
Directed (and co-edited) by Zane Rutledge, lensed by Vance Holmes and produced by Shaggy Welsh for BW Films. Additional editing by Jeff Stolhand at Expressions in Video.
