Well, you can jump over to Teradata’s website right now and see some type design and 3D work I did for their splash page, but this is a little internal video for use in a recent conference-like environment. More and more of my jobs are ending up this weird fusion of After Effects-driven motion graphics and true editing that I almost wish Final Cut had better motion tools or After Effects had better editing tools. I end up just suffering in AE most of the time, because I can’t find the interesting timing/impact without those tools.
Anyway, another testament to what a great music track can do, and how important it is to have that track up front. You could never produce something like this if it wasn’t cut to music. The goal was to make relatively boring presentation materials exciting. Did it work? You judge.
