Well, there’s the official film website as well, but here’s a high-quality version of the trailer for my first feature-length film.
Shot in 16mm back in ’93 (right before the DV revolution), and then finished with those Firewire-inspired desktop editing and effects tools (over a long four years that followed), Hell is Texas was basically film school for me. Learned a lot, made some pretty images, and eventually got it all done.
It was a lot of work, and the years after left me a bit shell-shocked, I must admit. Still, spending your weeks in the Texas heat with your best friends — trying to make your dreams into reality — I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
