Wow. I am still a bit stunned. Thrilled. Amazed and blown away.
Read the official Press Release here.
To everyone who nominated my game: Thank you. I can only imagine that your voices were actually heard. (There were more than 4,000 nominations in total for the competition.) This is probably the single most prestigious Palm award presented in any given year, and it is quite the honor to take the prize.
I remember at the PalmSource conference in early 2004 jokingly telling the two nice guys who wrote Warfare Incorporated that I was going to win their award the next year…I guess it actually took me a little more than that to actually get that done. (Nicely enough, I recall that one of them replied “Hey, I hope you do.”)
It really is awesome to receive recognition for over two years of hard work on something, especially a labor of love like EDGE. I am really thrilled; very very excited to have actually won. (And now maybe I can get some of those nagging Treo issues debugged, since I apparently won one! Hee-hee.)
I do have a 1.01 update looming very soon now, though the holidays may continue to play some havoc with that. Still, expect a bug fix soon.
And in celebration of having received this award, I’ve decided to extend the special pricing on EDGE through Christmas, maybe even a bit longer. So for now EDGE remains at the special low price of $24.95. (After the holidays, though, I do plan to nudge it back up to the announced regular price of $29.95, so get it while the getting’s good!)
Happy day. Happy week.
Hey, happy holidays! To you and yours. 😉
