EDGE is making excellent headway. In only a month since I posted my woes about the delay of the game (more like 3 1/2 weeks of actual development, considering the holidays), I have rewritten a viable and working game engine from scratch — I have almost all of the functionality that was working when Constant Games and I parted ways! There’s still a lot of work to do, but exciting progress has happened, and I am pretty confident I will be able to finish this game in the months ahead, unexpected distractions notwithstanding. Not sure how long it will take, but I’m no longer worried about my capabilities; the areas of the engine that worried me are mostly done and working great!
I really appreciate all the encouragement and well-wishes I’ve received regarding getting EDGE back on track; it has kept me energized and working steadily. I’ll try to keep you posted as I go.
