ZaneFilms: “Impactful storytelling meets stunning visual design.”

ZaneFilms develops and produces short and feature-length films and episodic series for all media. This expanding production house brings Zane Rutledge‘s 22 years of experience in and out of Hollywood film and post-production together with the talents of filmmaker Jeff Stolhand and producer Matt Joyce.

In 2010 Rutledge partnered with Jeff Stolhand and began developing a series of screenplays, beginning with a short police drama, Do-Overs. A short film test became the basis of expanded crime-thriller Charlie Thunder, and the beginning of a much bigger partnership.

Together with Gray Haddock of Writing & Shooting, Inc., Stolhand and Rutledge invested in a RED Cinema digital camera package and accessory gear. They now house lighting and additional film equipment (lenses, dollies, greenscreen, etc.) as well as in-house studio sets.

ZaneFilms has a number of projects in various states of development, including one completed short (the Mad Hatter Collective’s Alice: Madness Returns trailer), and two shorts in post-production.

ZaneFilms, in coordination with Mother Goddess Productions, will soon be completing a personal project, Maya Glick’s X-Men fan-film Rain, for release in 2015. The effects-driven short is co-directed by Rutledge and Stolhand and produced by Matt Joyce and will showcase the full gamut of their feature filmmaking arsenal.

Rutledge and Stolhand have a handful of other projects in development as well (including Rutledge’s AFF thriller/horror finalist “Static”), and are quickly building a lean-and-mean pipeline for production that pushes impactful, hard-hitting storytelling, rich character development, as well as eye-popping and unforgettable visuals.
