This is a random spattering of multiple things I’ve done in recent times. Some FX, some direction, some cinematography, some compositing. I wear a lot of hats, and this is just a flurry of them randomly jumbled together.
Everything looks great in slow-mo. But especially gritty action sports photography with a bunch of hard-nosed, serious ball players.
Had a little fun livening up an otherwise terribly-boring internal video for energy company Chevron. With a bit of witty banter and a retro “Mad Men”-style treatment, corporate memorandi becomes… entertainment.
We shot this sweet commercial in late spring, while the bluebonnets were just peeking out. I had seen the uber-talented Katie Folger and Devin Bonnée in Emily Hagins’ Grow Up Tony Phillips a month before at SXSW and was willing to use any excuse to work with them. Of course they were perfect for this.
