Sustainable Food Center animation
Some time ago my wife asked me my opinion on some rebranding efforts underway at her non-profit, the Sustainable Food Center of Austin. This innocent question led to a several-day event as I tinkered over everything from new logos to refocused mission statements. But a few things rose to the top.
The one I’m the most proud of is luckily the most obvious, since it’s on everything they do — their new “sfc” logo, featuring an iconic leaf design that I find particularly strong and eye-catching. As a spin-off to this, I designed this animated web open movie, one that I imagined could be fairly easily re-animated as a 100% Flash movie. They haven’t used this as yet, but I still like it. (It ends with the “sfc” logo that I both suggested in napkin-sketch form and ultimately helped polish into its final form.)
